| Mott MacDonald appoints Bruno Trouille as senior hydropower advisor Mott MacDonald has appointed Bruno Trouille as a senior hydropower advisor in its global dams and hydropower business. Based in Chicago, USA, Bruno will provide an in-depth knowledge of the North American market, while assisting with winning work around the world by collaborating closely with the firm's existing dams and hydropower experts. Bruno joins Mott MacDonald from MWH where he spent 37 years and was most recently vice president of their energy and industry group. During this time he was involved in the development of numerous major water resource schemes, pumped storage projects, dams and hydro plants, gaining experience of all stages of a project's lifecycle from early reconnaissance and feasibility studies through conceptual design to construction. Bruno has worked closely with international financing institutions and private developers to put together investment programs and detailed financial analyses, as well as implementation, concession and power purchase agreements for hydro projects. He has also authored papers on hydropower financing and economic trade-offs between power and non-power benefits and has been chair of the pumped storage sessions at the HYDRO conference since 2009.
