Bilfinger renewes its framework agreement with BP

The engineering and services group Bilfinger has renewed its framework agreement with BP, valued at €140 million, for a further three years. The contract covers maintenance services at two of its largest midstream oil and gas terminals in Scotland - Forties Pipeline System (FPS), Grangemouth and Sullom Voe Terminal (SVT), Shetland. A significant portion of the offshore production in the North Sea is brought together here where it is either stored, transported to other locations or processed. The agreement covers scaffolding, insulation, corrosion protection and fire-proofing.

"This order is in line with our strategy of strengthening our focus on Europe and of further expanding cooperation with our top clients", says Per H. Utnegaard, Chairman of the Executive Board at Bilfinger. In the United Kingdom, the company has been working together with the global oil and energy group for more than six years. "This new agreement allows us to solidify our position as a leading service provider in the oil and gas sector. Bilfinger is a strategic partner to BP supplying services across UK, Norway, Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, which demonstrates our close co-operation with customers and our extensive European service network."

The United Kingdom is Bilfinger's largest European market outside of Germany with an annual output volume of nearly €900 million. Industrial and real estate services each account for about half of this volume.
