| Three New ARES Series Programmable Embedded Controllers ARBOR Technology added a productivity-enhancing expansion to its programmable embedded controller product line-up. The new ARES 5800 series is based on the 4th Generation Intel Core i5 Processor, and supports up to 16GB DDR3L SO-DIMM memory for optimal performance and efficiency. Currently, there are three models (ARES-5800, ARES-5803 and ARES-5830) differentiated in terms of their I/O interface and expansion bus. The fanless ARES 5800 series features a modularized design and lightweight aluminum alloy construction, allowing for utmost flexibility in designing applications, while offering ease of installation and maintenance. The units are ideal for industrial automation and surveillance applications. The ARES 5800 series brings substantial benefits to communications and connectivity. An array of I/O ports allows the versatile ARES controllers to connect, control and process data between end facilities and systems. To further enhance connectivity, the ARES 5800 series are equipped with RS-232 and/or RS-485 serial ports for auto-flow control, as well as dual RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports for easy migration. In addition, all three of the new controllers offer four USB3.0/2.0 ports, a DVI connector for DVI-D/analog RGB, DisplayPort, and, with the exception of the ARES-5800, 8-bit Digital I/O. To add maximum scalability and flexibility, the ARES-5803 and ARES-5830 models feature three PCIe/PCI add-on expansion card slots, to facilitate video/audio processing, data transfer, as well as connecting internal and external modules and peripherals. All three models feature wide range 9 ~ 36V DC power input, one 2.5" SSD drive bay, and one mSATA socket. write your comments about the article :: © 2015 Construction News :: home page |
