| Hochtief sells its shares in Chilean Toll Highway Tunnel At the End of June 2015, Hochtief has sold its shares in the concession company of the Tunnel San Cristóbal toll highway in Santiago de Chile. Buyer of these shares is the infrastructure investor Brookfield Infrastructure Group which already holds the other 50 percent of shares in the company. Tunnel San Cristóbal is in operation since summer 2008. Hochtief had planned, financed and built the tunnel on the basis of a BOT contract (Build, Operate, Transfer) which the company received in February 2005 and has been operating it since its opening. The double-tube structure has a diameter of nine meters. Together with the additional connections to the tunnel under Mount San Cristóbal, the toll link has a total length of 4.1 kilometers. In addition to the construction of a ventilation system, Hochtief installed drainage pipes as well as a safety and control system. The San Cristóbal Tunnel directly connects with the Vespucio Norte Express beltway which was also realized by Hochtief.
