| NCC forms own staffing company NCC, one of the leading construction and property development companies in the Nordic region, is to form its own staffing company to handle work peaks. With its own company, NCC will gain full transparency and control over agreements and be able to ensure compliance with rules, guidelines and NCC's Code of Conduct. The staffing company will be headquartered in Poland. "We consider it important to establish our own company and gain full insight and control. This solution will be more competitive than external agencies, while simultaneously reducing the risks associated with NCC projects. With an own staffing company we can also secure that our code of conduct is followed, " says Svante Hagman business area manager for NCC Construction Sweden. The new company, NCC Montage, will commence operations in August, thus gradually replacing the capacity that NCC currently insources from external staffing companies. This represents between 5 and 10 percent of the total number of blue-collar workers used by NCC. "We currently have 9, 500 highly skilled permanently employed blue-collar workers in the Nordic countries. These employees form the foundation of our operations. In connection with peaks and to ensure access to specific competences, we will still need to insource additional resources. NCC Montage will ensure that we have a safer process for resolving these needs, " says Svante Hagman. Having its own staffing company will also strengthen NCC's competitiveness in various projects. This solution will be more cost-effective, while simultaneously reducing the risks associated with NCC projects. It will benefit NCC in forthcoming procurement processes, thereby in the long run securing more permanent job opportunities for NCC. The operations of NCC Montage will be established in Poland and be used when needs arise in projects under way in the Nordic countries. NCC has excellent experience of using skilled workers from Poland and doing business in Poland, since the country has a large professional corps of highly skilled blue-collar workers. Proximity to Scandinavia is another benefit. write your comments about the article :: © 2015 Construction News :: home page |
