Skanska sells two development projects in Sweden

Skanska, one of Sweden's largest construction companies, and Swedish property company Hemfosa have entered into a binding purchase agreement regarding a nursing home project in Uppsala and one office project in Jönköping, both Sweden. The total purchase price for the two projects is SEK 449 M and the transaction is recorded for Skanska Sweden in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The nursing home project is a self-developed residential care facility in central Uppsala with room for 72 residents on 5,600 square meters.

The office project in Jönköping is collaboration between defence and security company SAAB AB and Skanska, with Skanska developing SAAB AB's new office space of approximately 8, 500 square meters and production facilities of 3, 100 square meters. SAAB has signed a 20-year lease for both properties.

Construction works have started and projects are implemented as turnkey projects, with Hemfosa entering upon completion and tenants respective entries. This is expected to occur in May 2015 and July 2016, respectively.
