Tridonic Dornbirn certified to ISO 9001 for 20 years

Tridonic's Dornbirn site has maintained its compliance with the ISO 9001 standard for 20 years. Certification is dependent on adherence to quality standards in different areas of the company such as customer, employee and process orientation. To mark this anniversary achievement, Quality Austria, an accredited partner for system and personnel certification, honoured the winners by presenting them with the "20 Years of ISO 9001" award. This recognises companies which have held the ISO 9001 certificate continuously since 1994. "The award confirms that we have upheld a consistent system of quality management over the past decades, " explains Martin Rüf, Quality Manager at the Tridonic site in Dornbirn.

"Persistence, consistency and willpower"
A total of 53 companies from Austria and Germany received this award. Tridonic Dornbirn is one of the small number of winners from Vorarlberg. In his opening speech at the award ceremony in Vienna, Quality Austria's CEO Konrad Scheiber expressed his enthusiasm for these achievements: "With their ongoing integration of the ISO 9001 standards, these companies have not only demonstrated persistence, consistency and willpower but also shown their continuing commitment to improving the performance and therefore the success of their organisations."

Forerunner in the area of energy management
In addition to ISO 9001, Tridonic Dornbirn is also certified to ISO 14001 for environmental management systems. Last year, the site was the first in the Zumtobel Group to achieve certification to ISO 50001, which means it meets the internationally recognised standards for energy management systems (EMS). The goal of this certification is to increase energy efficiency within the organisation as well as minimising energy costs, energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

High standards at all sites
Compliance with quality and environmental standards is a high priority for the Zumtobel Group. All of the Group's production plants, with the exception of two small facilities in the USA and New Zealand, are now certified to ISO 9001. Seven lighting factories as well as all of the Tridonic electronics plants also work to the standards of the ISO 14001 environmental management system. Preparations for the certification of further sites outside Europe are currently ongoing. The Zumtobel Group's plants in Dornbirn have already received the Ökoprofit award for the 16th time in recognition of their active environmental protection.
