| Salini Impregilo to complete works to Copenhagen's Cityringen Metro Salini-Impregilo, through the wholly controlled Copenhagen Metro Team (CMT), has signed a Supplementary Agreement with Metroselskabet I/S for the award of supplementary works worth about €240 million to complete the Cityringen project, Copenhagen's new metro line. In 2011, Salini was awarded the €1.5 billion contract for the construction of the new metro line of over 16 km with 17 new stations in the city centre. The line is fully automated and will operate 24 hours a day, providing for the mobility of 130 million passengers a year. The Danish capital currently has the most advanced public mobility system in Europe. As a result of this Supplementary Agreement, the total value of the project now stands at about €1.85 billion. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
