| Astaldi to reclaim the Porto Torres industrial area in Italy Astaldi Group, one of the main General Contractors in Italy, has been awarded a EUR 71 million contract (Astaldi with a 48.55% stake) to reclaim the industrial area of the former petrochemical complex in Porto Torres, Sardinia. The Client is Syndial, an ENI Group Company operating in the field of environmental remediation. The contract includes designing and execution of integrated reclamation works and restoration of three polluted sites, for a total working area of about 350, 000 square metres. The works are to be done in 3 years, with start-up taking place downstream of the design and authorization phase. The intervention will lead to the treatment of more than 1,000,000 cubic metres of contaminated soil, which will be analyzed, classified, and treated using a high-tech integrated HUB for waste recycling covering an area of 60,000 square metres, to be installed on site. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
