| Arcadis signs mine expansion contract with Ferrous Resources in Brazil Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, announced that the Consortium Arcadis Logos-Ausenco has been chosen by Ferrous Resources do Brasil to deliver engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) consulting services for the expansion of the Viga iron ore project in Brazil. Ferrous will invest US$1.28 billion to achieve a capacity of 15 million tons of pellet feed per year at the Viga Mine by the end of 2017. The contract with Ferrous is valued at more than US$60 million for 41 months. Arcadis leads the consortium and is expected to perform 60% of the work. The EPCM consulting services provided by the Consortium includes overall project coordination, including design & engineering activities, procurement and construction management for the development of a new processing plant, water capturing and distributing systems, the expansion of the current rail terminal and the implementation of new industrial and administrative facilities. At the peak of the works, in November 2015, more than 200 employees will be active in the Consortium team.
