| Arcadis appoints new CEO for Continental European organization Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, today announced the appointment of Erik Blokhuis to the position of CEO for its Continental European operations per January 1, 2015. Mr. Blokhuis, is currently leading the Buildings business for Arcadis Europe. Mr. Erik Blokhuis (1967), a Dutch national, first joined Arcadis in 1992 as a project manager. After a brief stint at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, he joined Royal Haskoning in 1994 and worked there for 4 years in several international positions, with overall water business responsibility (project and commercial). In 1998 he returned to Arcadis to become the Project Manager of the Infrastructure activities in the Netherlands. He subsequently became Commercial Director for the international activities of the rail team, forging synergies with Arcadis companies in other countries in Europe, South America and Asia. In 2007 Mr. Blokhuis was appointed Business Unit Director within the Dutch Arcadis organization.
