| Stannah lifts duo moves people and goods in new Yorkshire schools ![]() The service lift has through-car capability and operates at a speed of 0.17m/s over a distance of 1350mm. The lift is fully automatic with call and send panels at each landing entrance and finished in tough, grey baked enamel. Alternate hinged doors ensure easy entrance and exit of the roll-cages on both floors, whilst a concertina shutter leaf gate ensures goods stay secure in transit. The lift was supplied in a self-supporting structure for ease of installation in a well measuring 1320mmD x 1320mmW. The Stannah lifts were specified by the architects, BDP, who "needed the reassurance of a known company to supply and install quality lifts. Stannah are a recognised brand, known to BDP and able fulfil the requirements of the specification and the tight construction programme. Stannah's full after-sales lift service will ensure the school has peace of mind with complete ongoing support for the lifts' lifetime." Installing, owning and operating a wheelchair lift helps owners meet the requirements of the Equality Act 2010. Likewise, the Trolleylift helps owners to meet Manual Handling Regulations. Both lifts improve the movement of people and goods– all with the reassurance of continued lift service and maintenance by the North West England and North Wales branch of Stannah Lift Services. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
