| Mott MacDonald completes conceptual planning work for Macau International Airport terminal expansion, China Mott MacDonald has recently completed conceptual planning work for the expansion of Macau International Airport's passenger terminal in China. Mott MacDonald was appointed sole consultant by Macau International Airport Co. Ltd (CAM), the public concessionaire of Macau International Airport, which is expanding the facility to meet the expected growth in passenger numbers. Macau International Airport opened some 18 years ago and the current terminal and airport site have generally supported the growth to date. In 2013 the airport handled over 5 million passengers and expansion is necessary to accommodate the expected increase in international flights. Mott MacDonald's role was to deliver a conceptual plan for developing the passenger terminal. This included all planning for structural, electrical and mechanical engineering elements and necessary airport systems. The consultancy also carried out passenger flow analysis to determine the required passenger facilities for the departures and arrivals hall extension. The draft tender documents for the design and build contract have also been produced. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
