Proposed merger between two Dutch operating companies BAM Civiel and BAM Wegen

Royal BAM Group is looking into an opportunity to merge two of its operating companies BAM Civiel and BAM Wegen (road construction) with effect from 1 January 2015.

The proposed merger of sister companies reflects BAM's purpose to further strengthen the integrated approach to major projects and asset management projects.

The starting point for the proposed amalgamation is maintaining the current branch structure of BAM Civiel and BAM Wegen.

It is expected that the merger will lead to a small reduction in the number of administrative roles required, but that the number of construction roles will stay at current levels.

The merger plans will be coordinated by the joint management of BAM Civiel and BAM Wegen: Wim Konings, chairman, Erik te Duits, Ronald van Hulst, Martijn Smitt and Theo Winter.
