Bilfinger making an important contribution to the Football World Cup in Brazil

In Brazil, specialists from German engineering and services group Bilfinger have provided state-of-the-art technology for control centres at the 12 venues of the Football World Cup. Over the course of one of the world's biggest sporting events, traffic flows in Brazil's major cities are monitored and the deployment of police, emergency services and the fire department is coordinated from these centres. The giant monitor walls in the control centres come from Bilfinger as does software that is used to control the screens.

In addition, Bilfinger is also contributing the non-food catering for all game locations – this includes kitchen technology, cutlery and tableware for the catering of 400,000 guests. A major portion of the equipment will remain in Brazil after the World Cup because the event services specialists Bilfinger ProfiMiet is establishing a permanent presence in the country. The company has many years of valuable experience, especially when it comes to outfitting major sporting events. Bilfinger ProfiMiet has, for example, already equipped the VIP and hospitality areas for the Football World Cups in Germany in 2006 and in South Africa in 2010.
