| Outstanding remodeling project A residential remodeling project by Home Exteriors Plus of Center Moriches, N.Y., has received top honors from North America's leading building products manufacturer, CertainTeed Corporation. The recipient of the Remodeling Project of the Quarter award, HomeCraft Exteriors Plus demonstrated exceptional skill and craftsmanship on a major renovation of a single-family home. "We are proud to congratulate HomeCraft Exteriors Plus on a job well done," said John Violante, marketing manager, Building Solutions for CertainTeed. "Using exceptional skill and expertise, along with CertainTeed products, HomeCraft Exteriors Plus completely transformed the footprint and aesthetic appeal of a 1950s era home." Specifically, the renovation project included a 600 square foot addition, the expansion of an existing sunroom and a major exterior makeover for a cottage-style home in Flanders, N.Y. To boost the curb appeal of the home, HomeCraft Exteriors Plus installed Landmark roofing in the color Driftwood, white Restoration Millwork exterior trim and the grayish, green Seagrass hue of Monogram and Cedar Impressions siding. In addition, the construction of an EverNew deck maximized outdoor living space. Enhancing moisture-resistance and indoor air quality, Home Exterior Plus also incorporated CertaWrap weather-resistive barriers and AirRenew gypsum board in the project, which took roughly three months to complete. "The appearance, color selection and quality of CertainTeed products have been a key ingredient of our successful remodeling projects with very pleased homeowners, as is the case with the Flanders home," said Richard Auffant, president of HomeCraft Exteriors Plus. "CertainTeed is a very innovative company and after decades of the same old drywall, they developed a game-changing gypsum board product, AirRenew, that contributes to healthier indoor quality. This is the kind of innovation that we like to offer our customers." The Remodeler Project of the Quarter award is an opportunity for remodelers using multiple CertainTeed products to win cash and promote their business. Projects can be submitted on www.certainteedrewards.com, by simply providing basic product information and images. Submissions are posted on CertainTeed's Facebook page where followers can vote on their favorite. "The quality of entries that we're receiving is exceptional which makes the final voting on CertainTeed's Facebook page fun and exciting," said Violante. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
