ECE sells Philips Germany headquarters in Hamburg and Siemens logistics center in Krefeld to HIH

On behalf of an institutional investor, HIH Hamburgische Immobilien Handlung (HIH) acquired two commercial properties which were developed by ECE. These are the recently completed Siemens logistics center in Krefeld and the new Philips Germany headquarters in Hamburg, which is scheduled for completion in fall 2015. The overall transaction volume amounts to approximately 80 million euros. The storage and logistics center consists of two halls with a total rental space of 31,300 m² as well as an office and social building of 1,100 m². Siemens AG entered into a long-term lease of the already completed logistics center. It will serve as a central warehouse for the adjacent manufacturing facilities.

Philips Deutschland GmbH also entered into a long-term lease of the office building with a total rental area of 13,500 m² in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel, which is located in the vicinity of the airport.

This six-story building, which will provide space for approximately 1,000 employees, was awarded the pre-certificate in silver of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). ECE will remain principal and owner of the Philips Germany headquarters building until its completion.
