| Stone+tec Nürnberg 2015: preparations under way  The preparations for Stone+tec Nürnberg 2015 have begun. The application documents will be sent out in May and besides an attractive early bird discount until 31 July 2014 potential exhibitors can profit for the first time from a reduced stand rental. The International Trade Fair Natural Stone and Stoneprocessing Technology takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 13–16 May 2015. Around 20,000 visitors – particularly including natural stone traders and stonemasons from Germany and the neighbouring countries – came to the last edition of the biennial trade fair in May 2013."Stone+tec 2013 has clearly shown that it was an important strategic step – and, above all, the right decision in the long term – to focus the event on the country trio of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Repositioning the trade fair as meeting place for the German-speaking sector of natural stone processing was successful, " says Willy Viethen, Director Exhibitions Stone+tec at NürnbergMesse. "We have adapted to the current market requirements and as a consequence, for example, have reduced the stand rental by approx. 10 per cent, " Viethen adds. Market for natural stone professionals Stone+tec Nürnberg in spring 2015 again offers the exhibiting companies an ideal platform for presenting the varied applications of high-quality natural stone. The established structure of the product spectrum in the three overarching exhibition segments of "Natural Stone", Technology" and "Gravestones" is retained and as a new feature there will be special shows on four key themes concerning processing and using natural stone. These themes focus on the segments of Architecture and Stone, Gravestones, Chemicals and Technology, and Beautiful Homes. The presentation of the German Natural Stone Award, which pays tribute to especially innovative, high-quality and user-orientated building concepts in Europe, will again be another highlight in the supporting programme. The application documents will be available online at www.stone-tec.com from May 2014 and early birds can obtain an attractive discount off the cost of exhibiting until the end of July: the price per square metre in this period is 109 euros. The all-inclusive package, which already includes a variety of services in the fixed price, is also a cost-effective booking option for small stand spaces of nine square metres.
