| ACREX India 2014: Building a Carbon Neutral World This year, South Asia's largest exhibition on Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigeration & Building Services: ACREX India 2014 has taken a giant step and is aiming towards Carbon Neutral exhibition, a first of its kind initiative by any society or event in India. Aiming towards Carbon Neutrality ACREX India 2014 is completely implementing the three R's Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Reducing use of paper, travel, recycling and reusing the waste. The endeavor of the organizers can be visualized by the fact that they will be planting over 10,000 trees across India to reduce the carbon emission being created by the show. Focus on Renewable Energies ACREX India 2014 is being organized by theIndian Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) and managed by NürnbergMesse India. ISHRAE with a futuristic vision of organizing an energy efficient exhibition is taking ACREX India 2014 towards being a Carbon Neutral exhibition. The expo has always had its focus on energy-efficient technologies and this year ISHRAE has given further impetus to promote and showcase technologies and products which will not only be energy efficient but will also use clean energy sources like PV, Tidal and Wind energy. Mr. Ashish Rakheja, Chairman, ACREX India 2014, said, "It is a moment of great pride that today in its 14th edition, ACREX India has emerged as South Asia's Largest International Exhibition on Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services. ACREX India 2014 at New Delhi will touch yet another milestone by being bigger, better and aiming to become Carbon Neutral. We are also encouraging Indian Industries and also exhibition organizers to implement the principle of three R's i.e. Reduce, Recycle and Reuse to benefit the environment and also cost effective." Held for the first time in Bengaluru in 1990, ACREX India has now become an annual event that rotates between three cities, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. ACREX India 2014 presents the entire spectrum of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, ranging from air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, temperature control and ventilation to building technologies and services. Endorsed by ASHRAE and besides support of other international industry bodies like UNEP, REHVA, KRAIA& AHRI, CAR, ACREX India 2014 has also bagged support of the honorable Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. Ms. Sonia Prashar, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse India, said, "ACREX India has evolved into a successful industry platform for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Heat Pumps, Building Automation Systems and Allied Building products in a short period of time. It is the perfect opportunity for exchanging views, networking and developing long term relationships. A testimony to the fact is that this year ACREX India will be spread out over 30,000 sqm with 400 exhibitors and participation from 25 countries." Foundation for the Future The key attraction of this year's expo would be the INNOVATION GALLERY which will feature India's top 50 Green Infrastructure Projects. This will lay the foundation for the convergence of latest technologies with state of the art building designs to develop the energy efficient buildings for our future. Storehouse of Knowledge ACREX India will also host a series of workshops and conferences with leading experts, academicians and technocrats from across the globe. The workshops will focus on interesting topics like Cool Thermal Energy Storage in the Era of Sustainability, Geothermal Systems – Design Considerations, Energy Security – Renewable or Hydrocarbon, Hospitals & Critical Healthcare Facilities- HVAC Systems Design, Seismic Considerations in Building Design and BIM – Revolutionizing Construction Industry. ACREX India has grown rapidly over the last few years, and this year's expo focuses a lot on International participation. Besides participation from more than 25 different countries including Belgium, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, The Netherland, UK, UAE and Ukraine, the expo will also host country pavilions from USA, Germany, Korea and China. With 400 companies exhibiting at the expo, industry-leading companies like Kirloskar, Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd., United Technologies-Carrier, VK Building Services and Blue Star would also display their latest innovations and technologies at ACREX India 2014. A powerful duo: ACREX India is parallel to fensterbau/frontale India fensterbau/frontale India will again be held concurrent to ACREX India at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre in New Delhi. The international exhibition for windows, doors, façades and related technologies, machinery and services is organized by NürnbergMesse India. These two exhibitions support cross-sector cooperation and developments in thematically linked segments of building expertise. With their complementary themes they are equally appealing to architects, planners and building experts. In 2013, 70 international exhibitors presented their latest products and technologies to an increased audience of about 5,640. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
