Stockholm City Council’s Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine selects NCC’s Torsplan complex

NCC and Stockholm County Council, on behalf of the Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine, have signed a lease covering 2,478 square meters of floor space in the new office and commercial complex at Torsplan, in Hagastaden, Stockholm.

In July 2014, CAMM will move into the Torsplan facility, where it will lease 2,478 square meters of office space. Following the signing of this lease, the entire 22,000 square meters of office space in the facility has now been leased.

The Torsplan facility was sold earlier to KLP Fastigheter AB, which took up occupancy during December 2013. Other companies and organizations that have selected the Torsplan facility for their activities include Axfood, Mekonomen, Structor, the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, the Max Hamburger chain, Systembolaget (Swedish government liquor monopoly) and the Hemköp supermarket chain.

Hagastaden, located between Norra Stationsgatan and Karolinska Hospital, is being developed as one of Stockholm's latest city districts, attracting world-leading research and advanced medical care operations thanks to a combination of office, residential and retail facilities, interspersed with landscaped parks.

NCC is developing the Torsplan complex for certification at the Excellent level under the BREEAM environmental certification system. Among other requirements, this implies meticulous attention to the indoor environment, ecology, lifecycle, refuse and energy and water consumption of the premises. The property will also be classed as a GreenBuilding. The facilities are part of the "Future Office by NCC" concept, a Nordic concept aimed at creating an attractive and sustainable workplace for customers.
