| Vinci, Vopak and Jurong Consultants win contract in Singapore Singapore's industrial estate developer JTC Corporation has awarded to Banyan Caverns Storage Services Pte Ltd (BCSS) – formed by Vopak Terminals Singapore (45%), Geostock, a subsidiary of Vinci subsidiary Entrepose Contracting (35%), and Jurong Consultants (20%) – the contract to operate and maintain phase one of the Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) project on Singapore's Jurong Island for a period of 15 years. The contract covers operation of the first phase of the JRC project. The pioneering underground petroleum product storage facility consists of five deep excavated undersea rock caverns for which Geostock provided basic engineering design and construction management services. The operator will be responsible for management and maintenance of the underground and surface facilities, notably the access shafts, underground tunnels, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment including fire protection and ventilation systems, and ancillary facilities such as jetties. write your comments about the article :: © 2014 Construction News :: home page |
