| KONE and escalators to Manila Bay Resorts casino and hotel in the Philippines  KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, will supply 162 pieces of equipment to enable smooth people flow at the Manila Bay Resorts complex, a new casino, hotel and retail development in the Manila Bay Strip in the Philippines. KONE will also maintain the delivered equipment for three years.The order for the 44-hectare development includes 120 KONE S MonoSpace elevators, four KONE TranSys(TM) freight elevators, 36 KONE TravelMaster(TM) 110 escalators, and two KONE dumbwaiters. All the delivered equipment will be connected to KONE E-link, which allows the real-time monitoring and configuration of elevators and escalators. The Manila Bay Resorts' casino will be open around the clock, and the three hotels in the complex will have more than 2, 000 rooms. In addition to shops and restaurants, the complex will also include a glass dome covered swimming pool with a real sand beach. The main contractor for the development, which is due for completion in 2015, is Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Japan-based casino group Universal Entertainment Corp. The architects are GF & Partners Architects, and Pimentel Rodriguez Simbulan & Partners Architects.
