Bouygues Construction to build a major residential complex in Singapore

Dragages Singapore, a Bouygues Construction subsidiary, has been awarded a contract to design and build a major residential complex in the centre of Singapore Island. The contract, which is worth a total of €102 million (roughly S$170 million), has been signed with property developers CapitaLand Singapore Limited and Mitsubishi Estate Asia, partners in a joint venture.

The project, located in the Bishan neighbourhood, includes the design and construction of two 37-storey towers, which will house 694 apartments, a five-storey car park and a basement. The total floor area will be approximately 81,000 m2. The complex will be certified Green Mark Gold Plus, one of the highest levels of the Singapore label evaluating the environmental impact and energy efficiency of buildings.

Works will get underway in late October and will last just over two and a half years (33 months), with handover scheduled for 2016. 600 employees will be working on site during peak periods.

Through its subsidiary Dragages Singapore, Bouygues Construction has already successfully completed four residential complexes for CapitaLand Singapore Limited since 2000. Very active in the residential market, it is currently working on projects that will generate around 2,600 apartments, including the Blossom Residences complex, consisting of 602 apartments, and Sculptura Ardmore, a prestigious high-rise development in the most exclusive part of the island. It is also currently building the Sports Hub, an extensive multisport complex which is the world's large public-private partnership in the sport sector.
