Ramboll to showcase engineering solutions at ONS Norway

How can we support the oil and gas industry moving towards harsh and remote northern areas? And how do we safeguard the fragile arctic environment? Meet Ramboll and get the answers at the ONS Norway exhibition 19-21 August.

The ONS Norway exhibition brings together the entire oil and gas industry to share professional updates and insights on major oil and gas projects taking place in Norway over the coming years. The main focus will be the supply industry on the Norwegian continental shelf. The event is hosted by the ONS Foundation and located in Stavanger.

Future developments call for extreme engineering solutions
ONS Norway is both a conference and an exhibition. The exhibition will focus on the supply industry, which will be showcasing new products and extreme engineering solutions which are needed for recovering an even larger part of the natural resources found in the underground.

Also, it will be a high-quality conference for professionals covering topics such as subsea, drilling/wells and maintenance/modifications, access to capital and international opportunities. Operators and major contract owners will be highlighting future contracts and their need for new technology and consultancy services.

Interlinking oil, gas and environmental engineering

Ramboll works across oil, gas and environmental expertise to provide consultancy that considers both society and the environment. The Arctic region is a current example of the work in practice. Here a fragile and harsh natural environment calls for special considerations.

"Oil technology and environmental services always go hand in hand", explains Søren Knudsen who is an environmental expert and leads Ramboll's environmental team in Stavanger. "Before initiating any exploration drilling or potential oil production in the Arctic, we have to make sure that all contingency plans and environmental approvals are in place in order to make as little environmental impact as possible, " he concludes.

Søren Knudsen will be present at ONS Norway and take active part in the exhibition.

Ramboll has carried out independent consultancy in the Arctic for more than 30 years. From local offices in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, and in Greenland, Ramboll provides consultancy on technical, environmental and socio-economic projects.
