| Bilfinger to modernize the Belchatow power plant in Poland German construction and industrial services group Bilfinger has once again been awarded a contract to modernize the Belchatow power plant in Poland. As of 2016, Bilfinger is to renew another boiler at Europe's biggest lignite-burning power plant in order to enhance efficiency and output and to additionally reduce emissions through the installation of a low-NOx furnace. The order has been placed by PGE, a Polish electricity supplier, and has a volume of approximately €80 million. Bilfinger Power Systems has already modernized three of the Belchatow power plant's steam generators and is currently working on the modernization of six further boilers. With the new order the client has placed its confidence in Bilfinger for the rehabilitation of a total of ten boilers.
