| ECE takes over Acity Shopping Center in Ankara ECE Türkiye has taken over Acity Shopping Center in Ankara and is entrusted with the concept design, the leasing out and the long term management of the 39.000 sq m property. With Acity being its twelfth Shopping Center in Turkey, the company continues its expansion. Acity was opened in 2008 and currently provides 25,000 m² of leasable area on four shopping levels with 140 shops, cafés and restaurants as well as a food court and a terrace with a seating capacity for 1,500 people. 1,700 parking spaces are available to the customers. An ongoing refurbishment project is extending the shopping center's leasable area to 39,000 m². It will then comprise 170 shops and 2,700 parking spaces. The extension is planned to be opened at the end of 2013. The center is owned by the Turkish A1 Grup. Acity is located to the north west of the city in the Batıkent Yenimahalle region, a developing residential area in Ankara. The center has a catchment area of approximately 3.4 million people. Its location on Istanbul road ensures direct access from the highway.
