| Hitachi's 18V professional Lithium Ion tool platform  Hitachi Power Tools announced the launch of its new series of Lithium Ion battery powered tools. The series is designed with a slide-type Lithium Ion battery pack that eliminates the post design traditionally inserted into the tools handle. The new slide type battery tools feature a more ergonomic handle for increased comfort and control with all the benefits of Lithium Ion battery power. A convenient side handle is included for 360° leverage when needed. The ½" Hammer Drill (DV18DSDL) produces up to 814 in-lbs of torque and weighs only 4.8 lbs. The SDS Plus Rotary Hammer (DH18DSLP4) is designed for optimal performance when drilling holes for the installation of concrete anchors or overhead drilling. It features a two-step power switch.
