| Mott MacDonald appoints new group practice manager for buildings business Mott MacDonald has appointed Richard Shennan as Group practice manager for its buildings business. Richard will help develop and win business, assist with the quality of project delivery and customer service and promote collaboration across the whole of the consultancy. Richard was previously managing director of Fulcrum Consulting, which joined the Mott MacDonald Group in 2009. Recognised internationally as a leading expert on underground energy storage and low-energy design innovation, he has worked on major projects such as the Darwin Centre Phase 2 at London's Natural History Museum and the award-winning Jubilee Library in Brighton. Since 2011 Richard has acted as Mott MacDonald's first Group Building Information Modelling (BIM) champion, implementing the consultancy's strategy to make BIM the technology of choice on all major engineering projects by the end of 2013. Richard will combine both his practice manager and BIM champion roles for the Group.
