| Thiess wins major energy contract in Western Australia Australia's Thiess has been awarded a new contract by Western Power to work with the energy provider to upgrade and maintain its electrical distribution network throughout metropolitan Perth, as well as the south - west and mid north-west regions of Western Australia. The new performance - based contract has an estimated value of $125 million over a 2 year term with options for further 2 x 1 year extensions.
