Tikkurila and Karelia-Upofloor open Inspiration Gallery in Russia

Finnish paints firm Tikkurila and flooring producer Karelia-Upofloor have opened a joint showroom in Krasnodar, Russia, featuring a wide array of surface treatment and floor materials from both producers. The aim of the showroom is to facilitate the building and renovation projects of private and corporate customers by offering a centralized location where customers can look into different surface materials for walls, ceilings, roofs and floors, while also utilizing design services. As the name implies, the showroom showcases inspiring interior decoration solutions with different surface materials. In addition to utilizing the design services, customers can order the necessary products as well as implementation and installation work from the Inspiration Gallery.

At the opening of the Inspiration Gallery, Finnish designer Pekka Toivanen talked about current trends in Scandinavian design, Tikkurila presented different painting techniques and Karelia-Upofloor demonstrated a variety of floor materials. The showroom will be used for organizing different product presentations and work displays in the future.

The opening of the Inspiration Gallery is a part of Tikkurila's long-term strategy for developing the distribution of products and providing customers with even more comprehensive services.

Tikkurila is the market leader in decorative paints in Russia, where the company has been operating since the 1970s. With four production plants in the country, Tikkurila generates approximately one-third of its revenue in Russia.

Karelia-Upofloor Oy is one of Europe's leading flooring producers. The main products are hardwood and resilient floorings, and the main market areas are Finland and the Baltic Countries, Russia and CIS countries, Scandinavia, and International Projects. Karelia-Upofloor has four production facilities in Finland, as well as factories in Russia and Romania. At the end of 2012 Karelia-Upofloor and the Swedish company AB Gustaf Kähr merged, creating Europe's leading producer of wood floors.
