| Parsons acquires First Support Services Parsons announced that it has received all necessary U.S. government approvals and has completed its acquisition of First Support Services, Inc. (and its subsidiaries), a wholly owned subsidiary of FirstGroup. First Support Services is a leading provider of facility operations and maintenance (O&M) services, logistics support, transportation support, and telecommunications operations services to the U.S. government. "This acquisition is another step toward meeting our strategic goals and extending our reach in mission-critical operations of the federal marketplace, " said Chuck Harrington, Parsons' Chairman and CEO. "First Support Services has more than a quarter century of experience and will greatly enhance our O&M capabilities." First Support Services was founded in 1982 with the mission of providing quality and responsive O&M services to federal, state, and local government agencies as well as to private sector businesses. Today, the majority of First Support Services' contracts support the U.S. Department of Defense military services (United States Air Force and United States Navy).
