| BAM wins major rail contracts in Belgium CEI-De Meyer (a Belgian operating company of Royal BAM Group nv) has won two joint venture contracts with a total value of more than €85 million. The client is Infrabel, the Belgian railway infrastructure manager. The activities include civil engineering works at the north and south side of Mechelen's rail station. Both contracts are part of the construction of a new rail bypass to improve the accessibility of Mechelen. The work, which CEI-De Meyer will undertake in joint venture with Jan de Nul, includes the construction of railway crossings, a tunnel under the Leuven-Dijle Canal, a railway bridge over the Leuven-Dijle Canal, a rail bridge over the river Dijle and adjustments of rail tracks and overhead lines. The CEI-De Meyer/Jan de Nul joint venture will start construction activities in summer 2013.
