| ‘Fighting Water with Water’ ‐ Temporary Flood Protection On 14 February 2013 the Indonesian Netherlands Association (INA) in cooperation with BAM Infraconsult and Delta Marine Consultants will organize a seminar 'Fighting Water with Water'. This seminar, is sponsored by BAM Infraconsult, a Dutch engineering company, part of Royal BAM Group and sister company of BAM Indonesia. For centuries the Dutch have been living in a delta, which lies below sea level, resulting in a long history with water and flood management. The Dutch had to be inventive to protect themselves and their belongings against high waters. Various flood protection measures have been developed over the years. Although striving to prevent all floods The Netherlands, just like many other parts of the world, has experienced local flooding in recent years. This requires quick and temporary measures to control flooding and minimize the impact on the community. During the INA event BAM Infraconsult will introduce the BoxBarrier, a new temporary flood defense system that is characterized by its flexibility and easiness. Leading officials and decision makers of Department of Public Works and the Jakarta City Administration, and representatives of the real estate and property development industry will take part in the event.
