| BAM wins contracts for university of applied sciences in Düsseldorf ![]() For the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf, one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia with 7,000 students, BAM Deutschland is constructing two faculty buildings in the district of Derendorf. They will contain lecture rooms, study areas, recording studios, sports facilities, and a service building that will house, among other things, a restaurant with room for 1, 600 people, and a bistro. The buildings will be located above an underground car park, which is being built by a third party. The design is by Nickl & Partner Architekten AG from Munich. Campus DerendorfWork on the project is due to start shortly, and the buildings are expected to be ready in mid-2014. Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau has already started constructing the necessary infrastructure.
