| Parsons Brinckerhoff awarded contract for gas-fired power plant in Delaware Balfour Beatty, the global infrastructure group, announced that Parsons Brinckerhoff, in joint venture with Kvaerner, has received a contract from Calpine Garrison LLC, to design and build the Garrison Energy Center, a 309MW combined cycle gas-fired power plant in Delaware, USA. The joint venture will perform the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the facility. Parsons Brinckerhoff will be responsible for the design and procurement of the balance of plant equipment and the commissioning. Kvaerner will lead the joint venture as well as perform the construction of the facility. The plant will employ highly efficient combined-cycle technology with advanced environmental controls.
