New range of rescue/rope access fall protection harnesses

Capital Safety, home of the DBI-SALA and PROTECTA brands of fall protection equipment has announced the launch of their new range of fall protection full body harnesses for the rescue/rope access market. The new suspension harnesses have been purpose built to include all the vital features for rescue and rope access work, encompassing rescue and emergency services, industrial rope access, abseiling and tower work. Available in the popular ExoFit NEX or DELTA II styles, the harnesses provide all the necessary functions required by rescue personnel when faced with extreme situations.

With four models in the range, three belonging to the ExoFit NEX family, and one to the Delta II range, there is a model to suit all preferences and applications. The ExoFit NEX models provide all the comfort, safety and ease of use associated with this revolutionary range, while the DELTA II style is a more economical version of the basic suspension harness incorporating all the necessary features required for the job at hand. Each model has a specific purpose and feature set for different areas of rescue and rope access work. There are models available with a chest ascender to aid in ascending working lines, models without a chest ascender, and a model that includes an integral miners belt built specifically for mines rescue scenarios.

DBI-SALA's i-Safe intelligent safety system utilising RFID technology is built into each harness in the range to track inspections, control inventory and manage information. All of the harnesses meet the strict requirements of the AS/NZS 1891.1:2007 standard and conform to AS/NZS 4488.1 & 2 Twin Rope Access Standard.
