| Student Competition on ‘Textile Structures for New Building 2013’  The international TensiNet association and Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens, will hold the 12th Student Competition on 'Textile Structures for New Building'. The aim of the competition is to show innovative and feasible ideas and solutions for building with textiles or textile-reinforced materials. The new 'Textile Exhibition Stand' special award of Messe Frankfurt will be given for the progressive use of textiles in stand construction. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on the eve of the fair, 10 June. Additionally, all award-winning works will be honoured in a special show during Techtextil from 11 to 13 June 2013.The competition targets students of architecture, civil engineering, product design and related fields. Additionally, all graduates of these disciplines who completed their courses of study after 1 January 2012 are invited to present their projects. The deadline for receipt of registrations is 1 February 2013 whereby the projects must be submitted during the ninth calendar week (25 February to 1 March 2013). The Student Competition and the new special award will promote the exchange of information and ideas between young academics and the universities, the technical-textile industry and the building industry as a whole.
