| Stone+tec: powerful market presence  Stone+tec, the International Trade Fair Natural Stone and Stoneprocessing Technology in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 29 May to 1 June 2013, offers the stone industry excellent opportunities for repositioning in a changing environment. The 18th edition of the exhibition at the heart of Europe and the three countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland with their strong craft trades and economic power will again be the hub of natural stone trade.With some 700 exhibitors from 37 nations and more than 26,000 trade visitors, a quarter of them from more than 60 countries, Stone+tec Nürnberg is one of the world's major natural stone exhibitions. "The natural stone world has experienced great shocks over the past years, " says Willy Viethen, Exhibition Director of Stone+tec at NürnbergMesse. "New trading channels and social changes have created challenges that the industry and craft trades must face. The chances are good, however, as the demand for natural stone has grown worldwide and especially in the German-speaking region too." Stone+tec Nürnberg in spring 2013 is again the ideal place for presenting new and established products from the international world of natural stone. For around half the visitors, Stone+tec is the only natural stone exhibition they visit – 90 per cent of the visitors are also involved in procurement decisions. Good reasons for coming to Nürnberg in addition to seeing the range of products on display include exchanging ideas and obtaining inspiration.
