| Kone wins order for the Riverside Century Plaza in Wuhu, China Finnish elevator and escalator manufacturer Kone has won an order to deliver 44 elevators and 34 escalators to the Riverside Century Plaza in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. The plaza will have three high-rise towers on an eight-floor podium built alongside the Yangtze River. The office tower will rise to a height of 318 meters, while the two apartment towers are 168-meters high with 48 floors for residents. Kone's innovative and customized solutions will enable the smooth People Flow for the office workers and residents in the three towers of the plaza. The order includes 38 Kone MiniSpace elevators, which are especially suited for high-rise buildings. There are also six Kone MonoSpace elevators. All the elevators are equipped with the energy-efficient Kone EcoDisc hoisting machines. The podium will house 34 Kone TravelMaster escalators. A traffic monitoring system, Kone E-Link, will help the facility manager ensure a high level of service in the Riverside Century Plaza. Developed by Nanjing Global Era International Group, the main contractor of the plaza is China Construction Eighth Engineering Division.Corp. Ltd. The Riverside Century Plaza has been designed by Pan-Pacific Design and Development Group.
