Damar links with Flott to bring German workshop equipment to the UK

Specialist machinery and hand tool supplier Damar International has now become the exclusive UK distributor for Flott workshop equipment from Germany. The range of high specification equipment includes machines for drilling, sawing, grinding and sanding. "These really are premium quality machines," explained Damar's managing director Brian Martin. "For over 150 years the Flott name has been synonymous with the manufacture of engineering workshop equipment to meet the high quality demand of exacting German standards. On the basis of comparative cost and quality they are highly competitive."

Flott has already had previous success in the UK over the years but the launch of their new upgraded and wider range of machines has necessitated them to forge the links with a long established company such as Damar. The existing user base includes applications in engineering, development workshops, education, automotive, aerospace, nuclear, marine and even producers of precision components for jewellery and clock and watch making.

The new range includes table drills, column drills and state-of-the-art drilling and tapping machines. The sawing options cover metal working band saws and buzz saws while grinding is catered for with a selection of abrasive bench and pedestal bench grinders as well as belt grinders.

Peter Becker, sales and marketing director of Flott said, "We are very pleased to be able to link-up and co-operate with an award winning company like Damar International, whose reputation and specialized knowledge of the industry will ensure the Flott range is professionally handled in this market."

Every engineering workshop needs to have a set of reliable and well built machines of this type and all companies wanting to maintain and improve their own performance and profitability should seriously look at the new Flott range.
