| AMEC awarded 2011 National Safety Excellence Award AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announced that it has been awarded a 2011 National Safety Excellence Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). The award was presented last night during the 22nd annual Excellence in Construction banquet at ABC's premier event, BizCon, at the Arizona Biltmore. Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) is a national association with 74 chapters representing nearly 23,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with nearly two million employees. The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards recognize companies who strive to maintain outstanding safety programs, policies and procedures.
