| Kone to supply Beijing’s first maglev line Finnish elevator and escalator manufacturer Kone has been selected to deliver 71 escalators and 40 elevators to Beijing's first magnetic levitation train line. The order includes 71 KONE TransitMaster escalators and 40 Kone MonoSpace elevators for eight stations along the S1 line. The 20-kilometer low-noise line will be located in the less developed western parts of Beijing. The maglev line is expected to open for operation in 2013.
