| Jacobs receives contract for Abu Dhabi retail development Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced that it has been awarded a contract from Aldar, a premier real estate development, management and investment company in the United Arab Emirates, to provide project management support services during construction for a new retail mall at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The contract value is estimated at $8 million. Jacobs is executing the project from its offices in Abu Dhabi. Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing project management support services including construction management; design and leasing change coordination; project controls; logistics coordination; coordination of site, project health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) and quality; and implementation of all associated systems, processes and procedures on behalf of Aldar. The "Yas Mall Project, " a 2.53 million square feet (235,000 square meters) development is another key milestone in the expansion of the leisure and entertainment destination that is in line with Abu Dhabi's strategic vision.
