| Avancis PowerMax photovoltaic modules CertainTeed is expanding its portfolio of solar roofing products through the introduction of Avancis PowerMax photovoltaic (PV) modules, which feature rack-mounted modules that can be easily integrated into residential or commercial roofing systems. In conjunction with the product launch, CertainTeed is offering vigorous training programs and technical support as well as extended warranties — covering the modules, mounting system and workmanship — to its credentialed contractors. "PowerMax is demonstrative of CertainTeed's commitment to innovation and aligns with our commitment to bringing economical, sustainable building product solutions into the marketplace," says Mark Stancroff, business manager, CertainTeed Solar. "By expanding CertainTeed Solar's product offering, we are now able to provide our customers with solar solutions for almost any roofing application." Manufactured by Saint-Gobain, the parent company to CertainTeed, PowerMax is comprised of Copper–Indium–Selenide (CIS) solar technology. It is an ultra-efficient, cost-effective module solution with a sophisticated, sleek design. The stylishly uniform black panels are exceptionally durable, simple to install and suitable for use on all types of roofing, curtain walls and canopies. In terms of performance, PowerMax continues to generate electricity even in partial shading – when most commodity modules shut down completely. Additionally, while all PV products perform at their best on clear, sunny days, PowerMax, with its CIS technology, works longer and harder, making the most out of any sunlight conditions thereby further lowering the homeowners' electric bill and reducing carbon emissions. The modules offer a high snow load capacity, Class C fire rating, and are covered by 20-year performance and 10-year product warranties. The product qualifies for a 30 percent federal tax credit. write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
