| Strabag renames companies Oden and Strabag Scandinavia Strabag SE, Central and Eastern Europe's largest construction company, is strengthening its brand presence in Sweden. Effective November 2011, the company's subsidiaries Oden Anläggningsentreprenad AB and Strabag Scandinavia AB were renamed Strabag Sverige AB and Strabag AB, respectively. Following the establishment of Strabag Projektutveckling AB in 2010 to handle the project development activities, this is a further step toward a strong brand presence in Sweden. Strabag's goal of becoming one of the largest construction companies in Sweden in the medium term is to be attained mainly through the organic growth of its Swedish companies. Further large enterprise acquisitions are not planned at this time. Some 800 employees currently work for the Strabag Group in Sweden, where it operates primarily through its Strabag, Züblin and NIMAB brands.
