India sees green at Acrex 2012

The Indian trade fair for refrigeration and air conditioning systems will take place in Bangalore from 23rd – 25th February 2012 in the ecologically certified Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The 13th edition of Acrex India offers once more a high quality program with leading exhibitors like Emerson, Hitachi, Panasonic or Ziehl Abegg. Over 200 companies have already confirmed their participation. For the first time in the fair's history, there will also be an official US Pavilion, as Acrex India becomes a member of the Trade Fair Certification Program of the US Department of Commerce. The marketing communication for South Asia's biggest sector forum for the refrigeration and air conditioning industry is conducted by NürnbergMesse Group, one of the fastest growing trade fair organizers worldwide. Acrex India 2012 is further supported by the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce IGCC while the BIES (Bangalore International Exhibition Services) is responsible for the organization of the event at the fairground.

The 13th edition of Acrex India already raised attraction with an Acrex roadshow through India in the run up of the event. Press conferences at Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Goa, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kalkutta and Pune positioned Acrex as a platform for internationally renowned companies, small and medium enterprises and start-ups from the refrigeration, heating, air conditioning and building services segments.

Focus on energy efficiency worldwide
Acrex India 2012 is set to take the lead towards a greener tomorrow, not just in the Indian building industry but in business worldwide, as the increasing number of international exhibitors testifies. For 2012 the range of exhibitors from nations around the world includes Australia, China, Germany, Japan, the USA and the United Arab Emirates.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the worldwide energy demand is set increase enormously by 2035 due to the thirst for energy from developing countries. While the global energy consumption will increase by 36 percent in a best-case scenario, the Indian consumption of electricity and heating is likely to double. Countries across the globe are facing challenges in satisfying their energy demands while combating climate change and scarce energy resources. This requires energy efficient solutions, particularly for building technologies, as 45 percent of the total global energy is used in the heating, cooling and lighting of buildings.

Thinking green
These solutions have to be found and developed. To support the discussion of innovations and opportunities Acrex India will frame the exhibition with a number of events: technical workshops, seminars and interactive panel discussions will be held concurrently. The workshops and seminars have been designed with the latest trends and issues facing the industry in mind. They will be hosted by international experts of the industry and will provide an opportunity to learn and share expertise in the field of HVAC & R and related building services.

A strong team of experts in the building sector
For Mr. D. Nirmal Ram, Chairman of Acrex India 2012, the reason for the success of the trade fair is obvious: "Acrex India is the benchmark event for the HVAC & R industry where some of the most advanced and affordable solutions in the field from across the globe are on show for both trade experts and consumers. Acrex India 2012 will unite integrated design and applications not only for the air-conditioning and refrigeration Industry but also for the related electrical, plumbing, fire, fenestration, lighting, and automation services under one roof."

One example for the expertise present at the show isthe Fire & Safety Pavilion. It will be promoted by the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI). The association expects good growth opportunities for this market as the need for fire security and safety is on the rise in Indian society. Companies with products and services in the areas of fire protection and industrial safety like L&T or Sony India will be among the attractions in this pavilion.

After their impressive joint start in 2011, Acrex India 2012 and fensterbau/frontale india, the International Exhibition Window, Door and Façade, will again open their doors as a powerful partnership. The two exhibitions are organized concurrently to support cross-sector cooperation and interdisciplinary developments in these thematically linked sectors of building expertise. Acrex India is part of the refrigeration and air conditioning network organized by NürnbergMesse. Besides ACREX India, the members of the international network include Chillventa and the European Heat Pump Summit in Nürnberg and Chillventa Rossija in Moscow. NürnbergMesse is building on this network to contribute to the success of Acrex India.
