| QJ341 mobile jaw crusher Sandvik announced its new QJ341, the upgraded version of its best selling QJ340 mobile jaw crusher. The redesign from a QJ340 into a QJ341 follows the enforcement of the combustion engine exhaust gas legislation in Europe and the USA in January 2011. The legislation sees the introduction of the new Stage 3B/Tier 4i engines. The dimensions of the engine combined after treatment unit, brought about the need for design changes to the power pack. Faced with this enormous design challenge, Sandvik turned this occasion into an opportunity to keep providing customers with value adding products. Sandvik QJ341 The QJ341 carries all the features that made its predecessor, the QJ340, a worldwide success, such as 1200 x 750 mm feed opening, hydraulically adjustable CSS, high reduction ratios and crushing speed, productivity, reverse crushing action to relieve blockages and automatic central lubrication system. Additionally, the QJ341 comes with new features to ensure continuous and uninterrupted crushing and greater operator safety, such as load control system for the feeder drive, level sensor fitted to the jaw and speed wheel fitted to the main conveyor. The customer will furthermore benefit from lower running costs and a more environmentally friendly machine, with a lower carbon footprint. The QJ341 features the following operational upgrades: • Choice of Stage 3A/Tier 3 or Stage 3B/Tier 4i engines, depending on legislation in force at destination • User friendly PLC control system and colour screen allowing visual data output and control • 50°C ambient temperature capability without the need for a change of oil • Level sensor fitted to the jaw inlet to optimize feed rate into the crusher • Improved load control system for the feeder drive to ensure continuous, uninterrupted crushing • Speed wheel fitted to the main conveyor to stop the feeder avoiding the need to dig out a heavily loaded conveyor • Proportional control for machine tracking, which allows the user more controlled maneuverability of the mobile unit • New hydraulic and electrical control system for greater efficiency • Hydraulically driven cooling fan with auto reverse to back flush dust from the radiator Sandvik QJ341 Sandvik customers will also be benefitted with even easier maintenance features: • Steel pipe work, for a maintenance free sealing solution and better heat dissipation • Improved service points: now both sides of the engine enclosure are accessible • All engine service points are easily accessible with low level drain points • All hydraulic valves will now be situated at ground level for ease of access • The diesel tank and smaller hydraulic tank are easily accessible from the front platform on the machine with inspection covers write your comments about the article :: © 2011 Construction News :: home page |
