| URS to produce Linear Demolition Charge System for U.S. Army URS Corp has been awarded a contract from the Department of Defense to produce Linear Demolition Charge Systems (LDCS) for the U.S. Army's TACOM Life Cycle Management Command. Under the contract, URS will fabricate, assemble, integrate, test and deliver production LDCS' to Anniston Army Depot for integration on the Assault Breacher Vehicle (ABV). The ABV is a modified version of the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank to be used to clear paths through minefields and clear other obstacles.
