Hochtief appoints new CFO

The Supervisory Board of Hochtief Aktiengesellschaft, Essen, appointed Peter Sassenfeld (45) as new member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Group. He succeeds Dr. Burkhard Lohr (48) who will leave the company as of October 18, 2011 as announced. Sassenfeld will take on his new office depending on his current obligations that are still being discussed with his present employer.

Peter Sassenfeld can draw on long years of international experience as financial expert. Since May 2010, he has been CFO of Ferrostaal AG, Essen. Before that he had been working for the Krauss Maffei Group in Munich since October 2005, and as CFO of Kraus Maffei AG since February 2007. He began his career at Mannesmann, where he performed various management functions both in Germany and abroad. Afterwards, he managed the worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions activities of the Bayer Group in Leverkusen. Sassenfeld studied business administration at Saarland University and holds an MBA.

The Supervisory Board explicitly thanks Dr. Burkhard Lohr for more than 20 years of committed work for Hochtief. Dr. Lohr has contributed significantly to the success of the company and helped shape it decisively in many places, since 2006 as member of the Executive Board and Chief Financial Officer. The Supervisory Board, the Executive Board and the entire Group wish Dr. Lohr all the best for the future.
