| Pöyry assists in the improvement of wastewater disposal in Vietnam Pöyry's Water & Environment business group has been awarded a contract for wastewater disposal and solid waste management for four provincial towns in Vietnam. The assignment, which is funded by the German KfW Development Bank and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) under the Program North II in Vietnam, has a value of EUR 3.5 million. The local clients are Lang Son Water Supply and Sewerage JSC, Hoa Binh City People's Committee, Son La Urban Environment One member State Company Ltd. and Bac Ninh Environment & Urban Works Single Member Company Ltd. The assignment is expected to be completed in 2017. Earlier, Pöyry carried out feasibility studies for the wastewater disposal projects and proposed sustainable solutions, taking into consideration environmental, socioeconomic and technical aspects. The proposed solutions will be implemented in the new project. The services cover detailed design, tendering and construction supervision for three wastewater treatment plants and sewerage networks including tertiary networks and house connections and one solid waste disposal scheme. The work on the wastewater schemes will be implemented in cooperation with Pöyry's local partner ICC.
